This morning I did my regular research routine, you know .. style, wwd, magazines etc. And I am a big fan of art/illustration, although I'm not great at .. I appreciate it. So surfin the web, reading the fashion news on wwd.com and I came across an article on this guy Danny Roberts and his phenominal fashion illustrations! Never heard of him til now .. but I am a big fan already. So needless to say, his work will be appearing on t-shirts this fall and I can't wait! His work on t-shirt has my name written all over it. Borders and Frontiers, an e-tailer sells Danny Roberts "Girls in glasses" tshirt as well as Gwen Stefani's Harajuku Lovers Fall collection. Amazing work!

"The September Issue" Screening in Philly

So I attended the private screening of the september issue last night at the Ritz Five, with RJ Cutler who is the director of the film & Andre Leon Talley ( Fashion Editor at large) showed up. First of all all seeing all the (real) stylish chicks in Philly was quite refreshing, in their dresses & heels .. love seeing others who are really passion about this industry as I am. I must say the movie was not at all just fashion, sure it walked us through how Vogue Magazine is made, & what hard work it takes to get done .. but its a bit deeper than what I expected, suprisingly! And I advise every and anyone who is looking to be invovled with industry to go and see this movie!! Its important to know your history for whatever it is you want to do, and you should know who Anna Wintour is ( Editor in Chief of Vogue) .. and if you didn't before, you will soon.

So me and Andre didn't get a clear picture for some reason, which was dissapointing .. but we talked too which was great .. jus really wish that pic came out clear. He was becoming impatient with all the ppl wanting to take photos, so I let him go after we tried to re-take the pic about 5 times lol .. AND IT STILL WOULD NOT WORK! So I made sure he knew that we will meet again :) After that I saw Rj Cutler talking to noone, he was very ginuine .. and had a warm pressence (most celebs etc .. are not too nice) we talk he asked me questions, I asked hime questions, It was a great experience!!

So I was told I have to ask AJ Cutler (director of this documentary) questions which is Fabulous! but ... I know me, and I knw that I am gonna be stupid nervous!! lol .. Anyway, I always freak out before events similar to this, but always end up doin fine! I'll be sure to have up pics (maybe even video) of this exciting experience. :)

Honestly I'm a luxury lover, and don't care the price, if I believe it is well worth my hard earned money then why can't I have it?! Anyway my girls will be gone for a week or 2, for reconstruction lol .. the ground did some work to the precious bottom of my shoes :(.
Nothing that a little shop in NY can't fix :)

"The September Issue"

"The September Issue". A film that will premiering August 26th in Philadelphia, and is about the making of the Fall Fashion Issue of Vogue. Editor in Chief Anna Wintour shares how the 2007 Sept issue of Vogue contained 725 pages of Ads. And for you fashionistas & Magazine lovers, you all know thats over the top for any mag. This 2009 fall issue of Vogue will consist of 427 pages of Ads, which is still alot of work that Ms. Wintour and her staff had to put in!

The movie follows Anna and her staff of photographers, stylists, and editors as they pick, choose and edit for the 2007 Sept issue.

And not to mention all the the big names that were in the building for the NYC screening .. I'm SO excited to see who will be at the philly screening! I will be there so look for me and be ready to pose!! Bellow are some pics from the NYC premiere on August 19th ...

Reebok & Fabolous Collab

Friday the Aug 14th, Reebok announced that Fabolous will be participating in the Classic Remix Concert series Foot Locker. The footwear collection will be mens, with prices ranging from $60 to $75 .. (suprised they didn't hike up the cost). They will only be available in selected stores, and some states will host a concert for the release. Anndd .. for the first 100 Fabolous fans who buy a pair of kicks win a personal & intimate performance. Hmmm ... Sounds cool? Idk .. Love Fabolous the rapper, not really a fan of reeboks.
