So um yeah. It's happening. Again. Karl is keeping his word, that he would again design an affordable collection in the future. First time the Chanel designer collaborated with H&M back in 2004. This time he has teamed up everyones favorite department store Macy's, set to release September 2011. There aren't any look book pics available yet, but the second they are I will be sure to share!!
Keep up, although this years FNO just passed 2 months ago ... Next years event is already in process. Returning back to New York City for the third year in a row, and only getting bigger and bigger featuring plenty celebs, designers, models, icons, bloggers and normal people too (who else is gonna do the shopping?)! If you couldn't make it this year, be sure to get involved next time around.
I know most of my readers are in Philly, so keep an ear open for the date of the FNO event at the King of Prussia Mall ...

Everyone knows Philly has the most dynamic and exciting arts scene, so what better way to celebrate it than with the Live Arts Festival & Philly Fringe, which each year presents some of the boldest and most cutting edge artistic performances in the country…and nothing represents Philadelphia better than our awesome restaurants.

A while back I mentioned Madonna working on her very own line "Material Girls"
before I knew anything about Taylor Momsen (Gossip Girl star) being the face of the line.
The collection is rocker chic including a studded biker jacket. layered floral skirts, lace, biker boots & lots of stripes, leather and plaids. Taylor brings the collection to life.
The studded jacket is niccee.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who would have never thought
the two brands would collaborate on a collection. The styles include clog like sandals (yes they can be worn in te fall) pony hair with printed designs and the classic style Dr Martens with a chunky heel.

DO NOT SHIP ANYTHING TO NIGERIA UNLESS YOU KNOW THEM PERSONALLY.
OTHERWISE IT'S PROBABLY A SCAM. DO NOT FALL VICTIM LIKE I DID. LUCKILY IT WASN'T ANYTHING WORTH MUCH.
Whether your selling or buying online they will try to get you. And don't think for one second that it can't happen to you. THEY DO THIS EVERYDAY, they know what they are doing. Be careful. Sell & buy local.

With all of the local artist coming up in Philly I finally caught up with one. Chill Moody. Hard working and determined check out the interview below as he tells us a little more about himself.
Tee: Where are you from?
Chill: West Philly born & raised.
Tee: How long have you've been writing/recording music?
Chill: Seems like forever. I remember 3rd grade talent shows spitting raps. I
actually still remember that rap.
Tee: If there are any, name a few artist that inspire you & why?
Chill: My biggest inspirations are emcees like Nas, Ghostface, Joe Budden,
Black Thought, Lupe. People who not only have good lyrical content,
but put words together in some of the most clever ways imaginable.
Tee: How would you define your style of music?
Chill: Real. Borderline nostalgic but at the same time something fresh. I
came up listening to good Hip-hop music and I represent that era,
where lyrics mattered most (well to me at least).
Tee: Where would you most like to perform?
Chill: Thinking realistically, something like a House of Blues, World Cafe
Live, SOBs, venues like that. I can see me making those moves in the
near future. Also overseas seems like a dope move.
Tee: Philly is home to a lot of great artist. Who would you say is most influential?
Chill: Black Thought is probably my favorite "Philly" artist. Will Smith is
easily the most influential. People who actually made it out of the
city, did amazing things, and continued to rep where they came from.
Tee: If you weren't making music, what would you be doing?
Chill: Sleeping. Lol. The only time I'm not making music is when I'm
sleeping. But seriously though, I can see myself acting or working
behind the scenes in the industry. I graduated with a degree in
communications (public relations) so that's another option but I
follow my passion first.
Tee: What words of advice can you offer the youth who don't realize the hard work that has to be put in?
Chill: Nothing is going to be handed to you. Your only going to get out what
you put in to whatever you do, so its very important to give it your
Tee: What's next for you?
Chill: Nicethings in abundance. I've surrounded myself with a lot of
motivated people and collectively I'm seriously about to make an
impact on the music industry. Shooting some videos soon, and working
or several mixtapes.
Be sure to check out some of his music at http://www.chillmoody.com/. And keep up with him on twitter and Facebook as well by clicking the links below.

Dolce Vita is the latest brand to collaborate with Target. This particular line will be been launching exclusively at the new Target location in East Harlem which opens today. The shoe line won't hit other Target location until August22nd. Normally prices for Dolce Vita start from $100 on up & a 100% authentic leather, but the Target collection's prices range from $29.99 to $34.99 and all faux leather.
I'm liking the buckle ankle boots. They will be one of the popular ones.
