World Premiere M.I.A "XXXO" Official Video

Interview with Chill Moody

With all of the local artist coming up in Philly I finally caught up with one. Chill Moody. Hard working and determined check out the interview below as he tells us a little more about himself.

Tee: Where are you from?

Chill: West Philly born & raised.

Tee: How long have you've been writing/recording music?

Chill: Seems like forever. I remember 3rd grade talent shows spitting raps. I
actually still remember that rap.

Tee: If there are any, name a few artist that inspire you & why?

Chill: My biggest inspirations are emcees like Nas, Ghostface, Joe Budden,
Black Thought, Lupe. People who not only have good lyrical content,
but put words together in some of the most clever ways imaginable.

Tee: How would you define your style of music?

Chill: Real. Borderline nostalgic but at the same time something fresh. I
came up listening to good Hip-hop music and I represent that era,
where lyrics mattered most (well to me at least).

Tee: Where would you most like to perform?

Chill: Thinking realistically, something like a House of Blues, World Cafe
Live, SOBs, venues like that. I can see me making those moves in the
near future. Also overseas seems like a dope move.

Tee: Philly is home to a lot of great artist. Who would you say is most influential?

Chill: Black Thought is probably my favorite "Philly" artist. Will Smith is
easily the most influential. People who actually made it out of the
city, did amazing things, and continued to rep where they came from.

Tee: If you weren't making music, what would you be doing?

Chill: Sleeping. Lol. The only time I'm not making music is when I'm
sleeping. But seriously though, I can see myself acting or working
behind the scenes in the industry. I graduated with a degree in
communications (public relations) so that's another option but I
follow my passion first.

Tee: What words of advice can you offer the youth who don't realize the hard work that has to be put in?

Chill: Nothing is going to be handed to you. Your only going to get out what
you put in to whatever you do, so its very important to give it your
all.

Tee: What's next for you?

Chill: Nicethings in abundance. I've surrounded myself with a lot of
motivated people and collectively I'm seriously about to make an
impact on the music industry. Shooting some videos soon, and working
or several mixtapes.

Behind the Scenes Kelis: "Acapella"

Very interesting, which is normal for Kelis. It was a great message for mothers. And her album Flashtone hit stores  June 6th, my first time listening I wasn't really impressed but ass time went by I find myself listening to it everyday. I've always been a fan, I feel like she was the last of a dying breed in pop culture as far as art & visual goes.

But thats just my opinion...

Solange DJ's in Vegas

Saturday, Solange dj'd at Tao Beach in Vegas .. another hobby added to

her resume. Idk I can see her being successful at this. However, I've been waiting on her

next album .. meanwhile her last album released in 08' "Hadley Street Dream" was highly

underrated. BUT I'm not going to get in to that.

Annyyyywho. We want new music.

Meet "Euro P. Gold"

Altough every young guy you meet is only striving to be the next Jay-z or Lil Wayne. There are some artist who can make music that is comfortable, relating, real and put you at ease. Willam M. Dayton III was born in Chester PA, but raised in Philadelphia and attended High School in West Philadelphia. Euro P. started out as a member of a rap group that consist of 8 members including himself in High School called H.L.S, he played his part by being Producer/Writer/CEO rosponsible for their first and last mixtape entitled "Manifest Disrespect". He's very talented and determined which is the attitude you must have to make it in this industry.

"Euro P. Gold is life on beat. He is a blast from the past. He is homage paid
through music. He embodies the struggle of not just a black man but a middle
class individual trying to make his mother proud will still keeping his dignity.
He is on a quest for Life, Simplicity and the Pursuit of Music and wants to know
if you down do join him??? "

I have to say, listening to his music puts you in a cool, mellow mood. Check out his websites and his music at http://euromoodmusic.blogspot.com

Summer Sensations 09 Nicki Minaj

Here is Nicki the Ninja, the boss, the harajuku barbie, lol all that .. featured on http://www.drjays.com/ website wearing an Authentic Sweater Dress by COOJI. Not really my style, but she looks great and the shoes are definitely on point even if there like 2 or 3 seasons ago I have them in black, and I love them! So anyway she's THE hottest female rapper out right now. I heard about her a while before her music got any play here in philly .. she's really talented lyrically. And she has the attitude and support to make it far, while she already has a great amount of success so far, I think we'll be seeing alot of her.

For the fans in Philly Nicki Minaj will be at Club Onyx on June 15th!!
